Pleated Bi-Fold Screens That Disappear When You Don't Need Them

Bi-fold doors present a unique challenge for fly screens. A standard hinged or sliding screen simply cannot span the full width of a bi-fold opening without obstructing the way the doors operate. The solution is a pleated screen system — a concertina of fine insect mesh housed within a slim top and bottom track. When you want insect protection, the screen pulls smoothly across the full opening. When you open the bi-folds fully, the screen stacks neatly into its housing cassette at one side or splits to both sides, leaving the doorway completely clear.

We offer both centre-pull and side-pull configurations depending on how your bi-fold doors are arranged and where the traffic flow is heaviest. Centre-pull systems divide the screen at the midpoint, which works especially well for wider openings of four panels or more. Side-pull is the simpler option for narrower three-panel configurations. Both use the same high-quality pleated mesh and powder-coated aluminium housing cassette — available in white, anthracite, black, cream, or any RAL colour to complement your door frames. The same pleated screen system is equally effective on large sliding door configurations — panoramic doors, multi-track sliding doors, and wide patio doors found in many Surrey extensions. If your opening is wider than a standard door but doesn't use a bi-fold mechanism, we can still fit a full-width pleated system.
