Terms of Service
Last updated: January 2026
1. Our Services
Surrey Fly Screens provides the supply and professional installation of bespoke fly screens for residential and commercial properties across Surrey, United Kingdom. All work is carried out by our own trained installation team — we do not use subcontractors. By requesting a quote or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
2. Quotations
All quotations are based on measurements taken during a free site survey and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Prices are fixed for the specification agreed at survey. Any material changes to the scope of works after a quote has been accepted (such as additional openings, upgraded materials, or access difficulties not identified at survey) may result in a revised quotation, which we will confirm with you in writing before proceeding.
3. Acceptance & Contract
A binding contract is formed when you provide written acceptance of our quotation (including by email). At that point, bespoke manufacturing may commence. Payment terms will be specified on your invoice. We reserve the right to request a deposit before commencing work on larger orders.
4. Installation
We will agree an installation date with you in advance and confirm within 24 hours of the appointment. Our team will work cleanly and remove all packaging and waste. You are responsible for ensuring reasonable access to the property on the agreed date. If access is unavailable without notice, we may charge a reasonable call-out fee.
5. Warranty
All installations are covered by a 5-year workmanship warranty from the date of installation. This covers defects arising directly from our installation work under normal domestic use. It does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, accident, or deliberate force
- Fair wear and tear over time
- Damage caused by third parties or building works after installation
- Screens that have been modified or repaired by anyone other than us
Product and materials warranties are provided separately by the respective manufacturers and are not our responsibility.
6. Cancellation & Your Consumer Rights
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract acceptance. However, if you request that manufacturing begins within this period, and bespoke screens are cut and fabricated, your right to cancel without cost may be reduced or lost. We will always inform you before manufacturing commences. After the cooling-off period, cancellation may incur a restocking or manufacturing cost.
7. Limitation of Liability
Our liability to you in connection with any installation is limited to the total value of the contract for that installation. We carry full public liability insurance. We are not liable for indirect losses, loss of enjoyment, loss of use, or consequential damages arising from any delay, defect, or failure in our products or services.
8. Disputes
We aim to resolve any concerns quickly and fairly. If you have a complaint, please contact us in the first instance at info@surreyflyscreens.co.uk. If we are unable to resolve a dispute directly, you may refer the matter to an independent alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Contact
